Nissan has a few choices when it comes to breaking a Guinness World Record: the GT-R, the DeltaWing, maybe even a 370Z , but a LEAF? At the upcoming Goodwood Festival of Speed, June 28 – July 1, Nissan will roll out LEAF, with no bells or whistles, just stock, to attempt breaking the record for fastest mile driven…in reverse. Come check out the Nissan LEAF at your 2012 Seattle Nissan LEAF dealer. Electric vehicles like the LEAF power their wheels directly from the motor, so they should be able to drive just as fast backwards as they do forwards. Nissan’s stunt driver Terry Grant will attempt to drive the one-mile course, that is full of twist, turns, peaks and dips, in the fastest time.
